HappyTap in schools

Every child deserves a chance to learn without getting sick. But thousands of schools across Vietnam lack basic sinks, putting kids at risk of diarrhea, compounding their chances for malnutrition and stunting. We want to help schools be healthy environments where kids can focus on learning and playing. Join us to create environments that reinforce healthy behavior, like easy and fun handwashing with soap.

DONATE NOW

Give a healthy habit for life

We have partnered with GlobalGiving to equip at least 100 schools across Vietnam with LaBobo portable sinks. With your help, we can ensure thousands of children are learning in a safe environment and teachers have a kid-friendly curriculum to make handwashing a habit in and outside the school. Our GlobalGiving campaign begins in November. We look forward to your support.

Improving hygiene in rural health centres across Cambodia

We partnered with Emory University and GE Foundation to study how the HappyTap can improve behaviour among medical staff and their patients in hospitals across rural Cambodia. According to the WHO, well over a third of health care facilities in low- and middle-income countries lack water and soap for washing hands, putting whole communities at risk of infectious disease.

The outcome of the study has been overwhelmingly positive. The 10 hospitals that took part in the program demonstrated an improvement in hygiene practices among healthcare staff. The convenient sink and bright green colour nudged doctors and nurses to wash their hands at critical times during patient care - a simple behaviour change that can significantly reduce the spread of deadly diseases.
